Kenyans shine at London marathon

Hardly a week after winning the Boston Marathon, Kenyans once again took the glory in long distance running by winning the London Marathon on Sunday.
Kenyans ran away with the first two slots in London courtesy of Felix Limo and Martin Lel.
Limo out-sprinted Lel in the last 200 metres to win the men’s race. The two runners, who pulled away from their main rivals in the last three miles, were locked together until Limo upped the pace in the home stretch.

MPs outrage at Citizen radio program

Parliament Speaker Francis Ole Kaparo has banned Royal Media Services from covering proceedings of the House indefinetely. This follows a program aired on Citizen radio on Friday and yesterday which was allegedly critical of MPs, terming them "agents of Satan." Members from both the opposition and the government were angered as Information Minister Mutahi Kagwe read to a stunned House transcripts of the program which tore into MPs and prayed to God to strike them all with lightning.

Kenya getting more foreign investment

By Eric Ombok Kenya is now receiving increased Foreign Direct Investment following the creation of an acceptable policy regime by the government. According to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, David Nalo the new policy has seen investors flocking into Kenyan capital markets.

KDN rolls out wireless Internet connection

Kenya Data Networks (KDN) has launched a broadband wireless connectivity to the Internet.
The product, named Butterfly, enables electronic gadgets including palmtops, notebook laptops and desktop computers with wireless capability to connect to the Internet.
